When Lexi reached out to me after finding my work in a local photography group, I knew right away that we were going to create something truly special. She had a vision—golden hour, mountain views, and a western vibe—and I was all in!

A Perfect Location for a Dreamy Session

To bring her vision to life, we chose a stunning field location paired with an overlook, giving her family a perfect mix of soft, glowing light and sweeping mountain scenery. The combination of wide-open space and breathtaking views set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

Golden Hour Glow & Western Charm

As the sun dipped toward the horizon, the golden light wrapped around Lexi’s family like a warm embrace. Dressed in western-inspired outfits that perfectly fit the setting, they laughed, played, and soaked in the moment together. The girls wore matching sweaters that Lexi made herself, and they were absolutely adorable. I even told her she should start an Etsy shop!

A Surprise Proposal to Remember

We arrived at the overlook, our second and final location, just as the sun was setting. While Lexi was helping the girls change into their second outfits, her partner Kyle quietly informed me that he was going to propose! After taking a few family photos, I had the girls step to the side and gave Kyle a nod.

With the mountains behind them and the sky painted in golden hues, Kyle got down on one knee. The moment was too gorgeous for words, and I think we all cried as Lexi said yes. The girls rushed to their mama, eager to see the ring, making the moment even more heartwarming. We finished up the session with the last of the light, capturing the pure joy and love in the air. It was absolutely perfect.
